four wins for Reimer at D23 Featured Event
Sept 28

FXR mastermind Milt Reimer topped the results as Spring Creek Park held Round 11, the finale of the 2025 Super Series. This was also the District 23 Featured Event for SCP and paid double points toward District 23 championships. Milt’s mastery of the day was established as he topped the 45+, 50+, 55+ and 60+ classes. It is not often that someone can snag four overall wins in one day! And Milt, being over 60 years young had to race against the young pups in the 45+ class for that win. It is not easy to give a 15 year advantage to your competition in motocross. A couple of other riders that had exceptional results included Levi Geis and Tanner Schlegel, who each took wins in three classes.
The day started out quite cool with the track in pretty decent shape despite recent rains. But strong sunshine led to an unseasonably warm afternoon for late September. There was a change to the track for this event as instead of taking a sharp left after climbing to the top of the track on the side of Mount Martin the riders were routed over to the downhill portion of the Mount Martin pro route. This amounted to a fairly steep descent for about 2/3 of the hill which could make for some wide open eyes as the bottom approached.
Jett Lewison has had his starts under total control this season and he shot out front as the 16-24C class roosted towards turn one. Lewison maintained control of the moto all the way to the flag but Carter Drechsel had a good run and kept him from totally running out of sight. William Markkula was a ways back to snag third with Chase Kinney providing him some close company, finishing just a few bikes lengths behind. Joshua Lynch rounded out the top five.
Lewison again led going into moto two while Cullen Wakefield trailed him for a number of laps in second. But Wakefield had some mishap late in the race, dropping back a number of positions which allowed Drechsel to once again inhabit second place although he was about 14 seconds adrift of a victorious Lewison at the checkered. Gavin Hill improved greatly from his first-moto eighth as he took third this time out. Markkula and Lynch were not far behind to take fourth and fifth.
The 65cc 7-9 class was nearly maxed out on the starting line as there were 36 entries. Tucker Pavlovich made the trip down from Hermantown worthwhile as he took a 1-1 victory over Anderson Durant’s 2-2 finishes. There was a little more inconsistency in the moto result for the next few riders as third place overall was snared by Tyler Campbell with a 5-4 score, and Dexter Lund flipped that for a fourth place with 4-5 motos. Then fifth was the property of Frankey Kotek whose 3-7 numbers were pretty darn good. It was great to see such a nice full class of riders hitting the track.
